Gilles Boutin - groomer
Volunteer of the month (April)
This month, we are pleased to recognize Gilles Boutin's exceptional involvement by naming him Volunteer of the Month. And that's an understatement, because Gilles is much more than just a volunteer: he has been part of the very foundations of the CEF and the Saint-Lazare equestrian community for over 40 years.

A deep-rooted passion
A rider since childhood, he was a trail guide at Golden Riding Stables in Saint-Laurent and even rodeoed as a bronc rider - an experience that made him particularly adept at breaking horses throughout his life. Some 40 years ago, with a friend, he built the stable and riding arena where he still lives today.

A pillar from the start
Gilles has been a volunteer since the club was founded. He has literally helped to blaze the trails we walk today! Always ready to help, whatever the circumstances, he embodies commitment and generosity.

Tireless protector of la Pinière...

An exceptional man
“He is not only a great horseman, but a man who has devoted his life to maintaining and preserving La Pinière.” These words sum up what he means to our community. Caring for horses and the forest is his passion, his vocation. Thank you Gilles, for everything you do - and above all, for who you are.

Nancy Krudel - Patrouille
Bénévole mois de mars
This month we would like to recognize, Nancy Kaudel.
Nancy began riding in preparation for a trip to Western Canada several years ago. She quickly developed a strong bond with her teacher, a beautiful Quarter Horse named Molly. The duo has been riding the trails together for 13 years and has been patrolling since 2024.
Nancy has participated in all aspects of patroller training and has already taken part in two rescue operations for runaway horses. She is always ready to help, whether it's clearing branches on horseback, on foot, or using the Kubota.
Recently, her computer graphics skills have benefited the club, as she is now part of the *Colouring Book* subcommittee, which she gladly agreed to join.
